I love working alongside and living with bad ass entrepreneurs.
Three and a half years ago I moved out of my apartment downtown Calgary and decided to move in with five amazing women souls in the name of community. We manifested a beautiful home with most of our desires, including a yoga studio in the basement. We moved to chalice Rd.
I was still waitressing full-time with a degree and two majors under my belt with 40k of debt to prove it and little did I know at the time, that Chalice Rd would become one of the most influential and transformational homes I ever lived in.
Because of this, I name my business after this street; I researched what chalice meant and quickly fell in love.
Since I've lived in this house, roughly eighteen people have come to call this space their home. Many of these people found their passion here. Many of them, including myself, walked away from their corporate jobs.
They say that you will become an average of the top five people you surround yourself with. If they have tattoos, you probably do. If they drink or do drugs, you most likely do too. Even your finances are said to be an average of that of your friends combined. If this is true, and there's no question that environment is a powerful precursor for behavior, then why don't we use the law of averages to our advantage?
Being surrounded by uplifting, inspiring, emotionally intelligent humans can and will change your life for the better, I can promise you this, but YOU have be willing to do the work if you want to see changes that last.
We have to be willing to let go of that which no longer serves us, if it's family then we must be willing to speak our truth and create healthy boundaries.
Living in this environment has been one of the biggest blessings of my life --- one I'm not likely to forget --- but the time has come for me and my partner to let it go and start a new chapter in our lives.
In five months we are moving to a new house, just the two of us, and he's a bad ass entrepreneur too so I know I'm surrounded with more of what I want. ;)
