We have a choice what we say and what we accept as truth.
The beginning stages of changing our thoughts are simple, be AWARE of our thoughts.
Scary, right?
When our brain is in beta, waking state, it cycles approximately 14 times a second --- that's 840 cycles a minute.
This means that in one 8 hr day in beta, our brain cycles 403,200 times. Are you aware of those thoughts?
What if I told you it was possible to reprogram the static? It's not as scary as we think.
I have found affirmations to be the most affective building block in reprogramming the mind.
If we can change our limiting beliefs around self-worth, body-image, abundance and love into that of an expansive energy open and ready to receive, then self-care, vulnerability, healthy boundaries, compassion, authenticity, empathy, joy, self-expression, worthiness, financial freedom, creativity and connection --- to name a few --- become our birth right.
Start by meditating, get silent with your thoughts and identify what a handful of them are. Once discovered, create a mantra or affirmation reflecting a positive statement around a limiting belief.
For example, if a prevailing thought surfaces suggesting we will never amount to anything, we could change that belief to, " I am perfect, whole and complete. I am worthy of following my dreams. " OR something as simple as, " I am worthy. "
I like to use a mala necklace { #TheMuse and #TheProphet are designed for opening the throat chakra } to focus my mind on my chosen affirmation and use the beads to keep track of saying the affirmation 108 times.
108 is a sacred number, and repeating a mantra at this magnitude and frequency allows one to take a deep seat into alpha or theta where our imagination and sub-conscious thoughts live. The repetition not only vibrates into our outer world, it reverberates in our inner world also --- shifting both landscapes.
Be mindful with your thoughts, for they become your words.
And our words carry a vibrational frequency like everything else on this planet; therefore, our words begin to weave together the tapestry of our reality.
